The friendly staff at the Washington Center takes great pride in providing our residents a family atmosphere along with professional skilled care including 24 hour caregiver assistance, an on-site nurse Monday-Friday, and a team of St. Joseph Residence Registered Nurses available for on-call assistance anytime.
New London Senior Center: The New London Senior Center is available to all community members and is located on the lower level of The Washington Center. Lunch and activities are offered Monday thru Friday. Note: SJR-WC does not manage the New London Senior Center. The senior center is managed by the City of New London.
At The Washington Center, we offer a variety of amenities, services, activities, and assistance dependent on your individual needs:
We have efficiency, one and two-bedroom apartments so you to choose the right amount of space for you. You’ll appreciate the historic detail of the restored Washington School, combined with the convenience of modern-day living, including barrier-free showers, kitchenettes and caregiver call pendants. Visiting services available include a nurse practitioner, wound physician, footcare clinic, beautician, home health &
hospice, and physical therapy services. The New London Senior Center is also located on the lower level.

The Washington Center is operated by St. Joseph Residence – The Washington Center, Inc., in affiliation with the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph, the same people that bring you Marian Heights Apartments and Trinity Terrace.
Our all-inclusive rates with no entrance or assessment fee make The Washington Center an affordable option.
