About Us

About Us
Inspired by our founding sisters “The Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph” we have been serving the New London area since they opened our community in 1967. We are now sponsored by Catholic Health International (appointed by the Sisters when they determined a succession plan of sponsorship was necessary). Appointing a successor sponsor would ensure continued Catholic presence in their communities with intent to inspire, support, and maintain ongoing commitment to Catholic identity, mission and values into the next century and beyond.
Our Vision
Through our dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters we will continue to be a leading provider of senior and elder services in our community for many years to come, delivering excellent care and services that support quality of life, and respond to the needs of our community.

Mission Statement
We are devoted to ensure dignity of life and death, service of the sick and elderly, the promotion of health, support, and independence of our seniors and elders, and we accept responsibility to respond to the needs of our community. Consequently, St. Joseph Residence is recognized by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Green Bay as a participant in the mission of the church for its commitment and dedicated action to perpetuate Jesus’ mission of love and healing.
As provider, employer, advocate, citizen – bringing together people of diverse faiths and backgrounds – our ministry is an enduring sign of health care rooted in our belief that every person is a treasure, every life a sacred gift, every human being a unity of body, mind, and spirit.
We work to bring alive the Gospel vision of justice and peace. We answer God’s call to foster healing, act with compassion, and promote wellness for all persons and communities, with special attention to our neighbors who are poor, underserved, and most vulnerable. By our service, we strive to transform hurt into hope.
We believe the personnel collaborating in the mission and service of our communities are caring persons who witness Christ’s love and compassion to those whom they serve. We believe in Christian justice; that individuality is respected; that recognition for personal performance is given; opportunities for personal development are offered and available, and that just compensation is received for work.
We believe St. Joseph Residence must use its resources professionally and prudently according to sound management principles to ensure the future of our organization.
